The Goal of Fluid Computing is to deliver Zero Alert Infinite 100% Reliability using all virtual appliances, Software Defined Data Centers (SDDC), and minimize cost using standard server hardware for all functionality. As the saying goes hardware eventually fails and software eventually works
It has been 7 years since this was written in 2011, I think this is still going to happen only waiting on the management software now.

Fluid Computing is an Enterprise IT Cloud Architecture that will allow commodity compute resources, CPU, etc. to move and change functionality from Software Defined Data Centers network devices to servers and back or between different types of servers using automated Fluid Computing management systems that monitor system requirements and reduce or add resources rapidly as needed. Example web servers at night # of CPUs reduced and added to database servers for more or faster report processing and switched back to Web servers in the morning.
